my project for my wheel throwing class, i threw a plate and then turned it into a lilly pad with a Jacana (also known as a Lilly Trotter) and a water lilly :)

A black vulture preening a crested caracara. In Central and South America, the caracara is called Rey de los Zopilotes (King of the Vultures) not because it is a vulture (it’s actually a species of falcon), but because dozens of vultures will congregate around one caracara just to preen it.
